Embark on a journey to explore the best cities and attractions of Sri Lanka at your own pace on a bike. Pedal through different terrains to uncover the essence of the island and dig deep into the local lifestyle and cultures. This cycling tour takes you across the country, offering you ample opportunities to experience the uniqueness and diversity of Sri Lanka.
Commencing the tour from Negombo, the tour heads to Walahapitiya on bikes to experience the fisherman’s lifestyle of Sri Lanka. The next ride starts from Habarana to Dambulla via Sigiriya, passing farmlands, paddy fields, canals and small waterways. The day ends with a visit to the Dambulla cave temple or Sigiriya Lion Rock fortress.
The next day the tour pedal to Avukana through acres of paddy fields, Polonnaruwa, to witness the gigantic Avukana Buddha Statue, followed by a traditional lunch at a local house. On day five, it’s time to ride to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa to discover the dazzled past of the ancient kingdom. The next day, ride around the Parakramasamudra, one of the largest reservoirs in Sri Lanka and end your ride at the Moragahakanda hill. In the evening, transfer to Kandy.

Bicycle Specifications
We provide 8 speed and 9 speed good quality hybrid and mountain bikes, Brands including Giant, Trek, Specialised and Merida. All are lightweight aluminium framed bikes with mostly Shimano changers. Helmets also will be provided.

Tour Plan
Day 01 - Negombo
Our cycling national guide will brief about the trails and some local hints.
Daily cycling start at 8 am and will finish by 3 pm.
Day 02 - Dambulla
Enjoy the unique lifestyle of this charming fishing village as you visit local attractions such as the fish market, old churches and other historical monuments. Learn more details about the local fishing industry and authentic local experiences.
After lunch bus transfer to Habarana.

Day 03 - Dambulla
Today, climb the Sigiriya rock fortress, a must-visit attraction in the area. Built on a tall rock, the fortress which was built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century is known as the 8th wonder of the world. The water gardens, frescoes, water pools, and pavilions of the place amaze visitors worldwide with its unbelievable brilliance in construction. The view at the top is also breathtaking.
Enjoy the rural lifestyle of the locals as you pass small villages and paddy fields, and various plantations. Visit the local farmers in and around Dambulla agricultural region. Along your way, pay a visit to the infamous Cave temple in Dambulla.

Day 04 - Dambulla
Visit Avukana Buddha Statue. Avukana Ancient Rock Temple is a sacred Buddhist temple region that has numerous worth-seeing sacred residues including Avukana Buddha, a massive Buddha statue carved out of a large single rock, towering over 40ft height, being the specimen of excellent ancient sculpture technology of the nation.
Enjoy a traditional village lunch with the perfect balance of sweet spice and curry-lusciously nice before snoozing off the evening at the hotel.

Day 05 - Polonnaruwa
Discover the historical grandeur of the Polonnaruwa period as you wander around the ruins of the old city. Enjoy the monkey kingdom that runs around and witness their funny and cute actions. You can feed them with fruits if you like.

Day 06 - Kandy
Today we’ll be riding around the Parakramasamudra via Bakamuna and Elahera. Ride through massive lakes and acres of paddy fields will give you a sneak peek into the farming culture and lifestyle of the area. Conclude ride on Moragahakanda hill.
Transfer to Kandy via Matale.

Day 07 - Ella
Get down from the Train at Ella and your driver will be awaiting outside to pick you up and you will be transferred to Hotel & check-in.
Day 08 - Bentota
Arrive at Bentota and enjoy the rest of the day experiencing a perfect beach stay indulging yourself in the best luxuries in the resort.
Day 09 - Colombo
On completion, checkout and transfer to Colombo.
Day 10 - Colombo
Colombo is the ideal place for Shopping and Nightlife. You can also enjoy a City tour in Colombo in the evening which will take you to Galleface Green, Independence Square and the Dutch Hospital. You can indulge in some retail therapy by visiting a few shopping malls in the city; One Galleface, Colombo City Centre, Crescat boulevard, Marino shopping mall, Majestic city, Odel and House of Fashions are the famous ones in town.
On completion, you will be transferred to Airport connected to the departure flight.
